Chosen Estella final hair design and practice on the practice head

Estella hair design 3 -Final design
I have decided to use Estella hair design 3 for my final design as I like how the ribbons attached on the bottom at the back while there are two loose curls leaving down which creates an elegant and romantic look. For the next blog post, I am going to experiment with different compositions of where to place the blue ribbon on the hairstyle to see which one goes well for my final hair design.

Practicing on the practice head:
Equipments
  • A brush, a comb and a tail comb
  • Hair spray
  • Hair tongs
  • Hair pins
  • Bobby pins
  • Sectioning clips
  • A hair bobble
  • Blue ribbon x 1 ( to create one big bow)
1) Brush your model’s hair with the hair brush to make sure no tangles there. Divide the hair into middle parting. After that, divide the hair into front and back section. Like the picture shown below.
2) Grab some of the hair from the top part at the back and tie it into a high ponytail with a hair bobble.
3) Divide the hair from the ponytail into three different amounts of hair and use the hair tongs to curl the hair. Then, use bobby pins to secure the curls and place them in different direction curls. But for my model, I've curled in small section as it will be difficult to make the hair curly if I curled the hair with too many hair. 4) Then, for the bottom part of the hair, take section of hair and curl them with the hair tong. After that, secure it with the bobby pins and try to gather them in the middle (around the ponytail).
5) For the last bottom section of hair at the back, leave down and do not pin it up.
6) For the front section, divide the hair on each side into 4 sections (the three sections on the top should got more hair than the last section). Curl the top three sections and remember to hold the hair tongs horizontally when curling the hair.
7) Curl the forth section and remember to hold the hair tongs vertically as you want the side to be smooth. After that, pin the hair to the back.
8)  For the third section, pin it to the back section as well. Then, join the first and second section together and pin them to the back as well (the fringe will create a wave).
9) Finally, attached the blue ribbon at the bottom part of the hair at the back using a hair pin.
I'm pleased with the final outlook of my final Estella hair design and I think it goes well as well. In order to improve next time, I can divide the hair from the ponytail into more sections and curl them and this will help to avoid resulting a bun shape.
