Miss Havisham Designs - Hairstyle and ornaments
|
Design 1 |
My first hair design for Miss Havisham was inspired by the early Victorian hairstyle. A wonky center parting, plaits on the side while extended to the back and roll into the bun. The bun is created by a normal plait and roll into a bun shape. I will make the hair messy as time went by and Miss Havisham still wearing the same costume and style, her hair will look a bit messy (strands of hair coming out) and will not be as tidy as before. For the ornament on the hairstyle, I'm going to use veil and flowers. The flowers should look dead and the veil should look old and yellowish. The five dead flowers will be placed onto the side of the bun, while the will be pinned on the top part of the head. For the hair colour, I am going to use dry shampoo to create the white greyish dusty effects which shows the aging of Miss Havisham.
Equipments needed to create this design:
- Hair pins
- Bobby pins
- A hair bobble
- Dry shampoo
- A comb, brush, tail comb
- Dead flowers x 5
- An old yellowish veil

For design 2, it is also inspired by early Victorian hairstyle and center parting is used. For this time, I have used three loose spiral curls on each side and set closely to the side of the face. I will also create a plait at the back and roll into a bun shape. The hair should look messy , so the curls should look loose and strands of hair coming out from the bun, at the back of the hair and also on the side. I will be using old yellowish veil and dead flowers for this hair design. The veil will be pinned on the top of the head, while the five dead flowers will be placed at the front part of the hair near to the middle parting. In order to create old dusty hair, I am going to use dry shampoo to help me create this effects.
Equipments needed to create this design:
- Hair tongs
- A hair bobble
- Hair pins
- Bobby pins
- A Brush, tail comb and a comb
- Dry shampoo
- An old yellowish veil
- Dead Flowers x 5

Design 3 |
For design 3, I have used a center parting and at the back of the hair are all messy and loose curls. At the front section of the hair, I will create three loose spiral curls on each side but I will leave the top sleek and tidy first. After that, I will make the hair a bit messy (even the top of the hair) and strands of hair coming out at the front. I will make the hair colour look white greyish dusty effects by using the dry shampoo and this will create aging hair effects. For the ornaments, I will use an old yellowish veil attached on the hair while there are four dead flowers place at the front of the veil.
Equipments needed to create this hairstyle:
- Hair tongs
- A comb, brush and tail comb
- Hair pins
- Bobby pins
- Dry shampoo
- An old yellowish veil
- Dead flowers x 4
