Evaluation for the 'Great Expectations' project

Throughout out the first part of the project, I have researched what Gothic means, the cultures and beauty of the Victorians and these allow me to understand more about the history during the Victorian era. This also helps me to develop and create my final Miss Havisham and Estella's look. I have read the book and watched the films of  'Great Expectations' which help me to look in details what the characters are like and allows me to imagine how I should interpret my characters. For my final Miss Havisham's design, I have overcome the problems of creating wrinkly skin and I'm pleased with the final outcome of the look. Throughout the practices, it allows me to experiment what materials works well for my designs and also my skills have improved. I found the most challenging part during the continuity assessment is to spray the dry shampoo onto the hair as I have sprayed too much on the top part of the hair compare to the first assessment. For Estella assessment, I found it difficult to do the hairstyle on my partner's hair when I did the practice as it was different to what I did on the practice head. My partner's hair is sleeker and so it is more difficult compare to the practice head. But through the practice on my partner, I've learnt how I should sort out the problems and during the assessment, my skills have improved and I'm pleased with the results. In conclusion, I think I have met the brief successfully and I enjoy doing this project.
