Horror films and TV series of Evil Clowns

I have researched some films and TV series which links to clowns and horror. This will help me to learn and understand more about the make-up of evil clowns and also looking at how the actors portray a scary evil clown character. 

Films
Fear of Clowns (2004)

'Fear of clowns' is a horror film in 2004 and in 2007, 'Fear of clowns 2' was published as well. Both of the films are directed and written by Kevin Kangas. The film is about an artist named Lynn Blodgett who has got specific phobia which means that she has got an unreasonable fear and her fear is clowns. She is stalked by a evil, murderous clown called 'Shivers The Clown' who looks like the one she drew on her work. Shivers appears in the film to try and kill Lynn.'Fear of Clowns 2' is about 2 years after the first film and continues the story of 'Shivers The Clown'. This time, Shivers takes revenge and bring two more psychotic clowns with him to kill the protagonist Lynn Blodgett. Detective Peters who in the first film is one of the person who helps to arrest Shivers in prison, return as well to fight back the clowns.
The make-up of Shivers are focus on the colours red, blue, white and black and I like the way the mouth is drawn bigger and looks like he is smiling all the time. He has got dark eyes which add horror effects to the character.

'All Hallows' Eve' is a horror film in 2013 and is directed and written by Damien Leone. The film is about a crazy and murderous clown who kills and terrorizes his victims. I found this clown's make-up amazing as it just features the colour black and white on the face and it has created a very horrific looking. I also like how the clown's nose is unique as it looks sharp rather than in round shape. I found the pictures on the last photo from above very creppy as there are blood all over his face and body and the way it looks like he is pointing at you.

TV series
It (1990)

'It' is a psychological horror and mystery TV mini series published in 1990. The TV mini series is directed by Tommy Lee Wallace and the story is based on Stephen King's novel of 'It'. The drama has got two parts and the first one is aired 18th November, 1990 while the second on is aired on 20th November, 1990. 'It' is about sadistic clown named ' Pennywise the Dancing Clown' (see photos from above) who looks evil and kills children. The first part of the drama is about there are seven outcast kids who has got a group name called 'The Losers Club' and they discover the exist of Pennywise. The second part is about 'The Loser Club' is back after 30 years and they fight back the evil clown 'Pennywise the Dancing Clown'. The drama was filmed in New Westminster, British Columbia during mid 1990 and I think this makes the story more interesting and exciting as it was filmed in a place which exist in real lives and where we all know about. 
I found the make-up and style look of Pennywise the most scariest clown in this blog post as for me he gives me a sense of horror and creepiest when looking at him. On below are quotes and taglines from 'It'.

American horror story: Freak show (2014-2015)

On above are the photo of Twisty The Clown from American Horror Story: Freak Show. The story is about the character of Twisty was meant to work as a clown with Rusty Westchester's Travelling Carnival, but due to his popularity, two people are jealous and tell lies to others that he was molesting children, so he then lost his job. He returned to Jupiter where was worked before he became a clown. He found out that his mother has died and sold his whirligigs to a local toy store and he feels so angry and this also reminds him of how he lost his clown job. After that, he decided to make children love him again and so he kidnap children and he think it is a way to save them from their mean parents. He is a serial killer as well. He wears a mask because it is used to hide his horrifying features on his face.
I like the make-up and special effects used on Twisty looks and I think he looks amazing. I especially like the mouth, the teeth and the cut on his forehead and I think they look really realistic. 
Twisty:  'I'm a good clown Mama said so.'
The character of Twisty has got mental problems which he sometimes thinks he is a baby in his mind. 

From all the films and TV series of evil clowns researched above, they all have similarities which is they all have mental problems and they kill people. The way they look evil and scary add horror and terror effects to the films or TV series which makes the story more exciting and attract more audiences.
